Our History:
Flying Group of Industries was the pioneer in the introduction of air-conditioned coaches in 1979 under the name of Flying Coach (Pvt) Ltd. The founder Chairman of the Group late Qamar-uz-Zaman Khan took the bold decision and laid the foundation of inter-city air conditioned luxury transport service in the country which was immensely appreciated by the commuters and company enjoyed monopoly in the business for a number years.
The group took initiative in 1984 and entered into paper manufacturing business by way of installing a variety of plants to produce different grades like Writing Printing Paper, Photocopy Paper, Coated Duplex Board, Tissue Paper, and Extensible Such as Kraft Paper in the country in order to substitute imports. In 1992,
Flying Group of Industries decided to enter into cement sector to meet the growing demand of cement in Pakistan and established Flying Cement Company Ltd formerly named as Zaman Cement Company Ltd as a public limited company. The company started its operation in January 2005 and produced & marketed ordinary Portland Cement. At present the group owns seven paper manufacturing units, four pulp mills, a sack manufacturing units for cement packing and a cement plant.
